PLOWING/PUSHING SNOW ON TOWN ROADS AND RIGHT-OF-WAY

The Town has observed numerous locations where snow is being plowed or pushed from private property across a town road and deposited in town right-of-way. Pushing or plowing snow across a public road is not only dangerous, but is unlawful by section 346.94(5) of the Wisconsin Statutes.

Snow deposited in the town right-of-way creates problems for the town’s snow removal equipment.  Once snow is moved and becomes rigid, it hinders road-widening operations and can cause damage to plow trucks and graders and injury to equipment operators.

If this action applies to your property, please discontinue it immediately.
