Advisory Referendum April 7, 2020

INTRODUCTORY PARAGRAPH

 

The Town of Eagle Point Fire and Emergency Services Building was constructed in 1978.  The Town Board received survey data from town residents in 2016 supporting the need for an upgraded and larger Fire and Emergency Services Facility for the Town of Eagle Point.  The Town of Eagle Point is seeking public input in this advisory referendum to determine whether it should construct a new Fire and Emergency Services Facility for the Town of Eagle Point.  The cost for a new Fire and Emergency Services Facility would be $830,000, which would be financed with $100,000 in donated fire department funds and a loan not to exceed $730,000.

 

EXPLANATION

 

A ‘yes’ vote is in favor of the Town of Eagle Point expending funds for constructing a new Fire and Emergency Services Facility.

 

A ‘no’ vote is opposed to the Town of Eagle Point expending funds for constructing a new Fire and Emergency Services Facility.

 

ADVISORY REFERENDUM QUESTION SHALL APPEAR ON THE BALLOT AS FOLLOWS:

 

“Shall the Town of Eagle Point, Chippewa County, Wisconsin, expend no more than $830,000 for constructing a new Fire and Emergency Services Facility in the Town of Eagle Point?”
