CHIPPEWA FALLS URBAN AREA

STORMWATER MANAGEMENT

January 2022

As a result of the Town of Eagle Point’s population and our proximity to streams and Lake Wissota, State and Federal regulations place the south end of our town, along with areas in Anson, Lafayette and the Village of Lake Hallie, in an MS4 district. This area in Eagle Point is shown on the adjacent map in bright blue. The purpose of the MS4 area is to protect water quality for ground water and lakes and streams by reducing illicit discharge, construction site erosion, post-construction run-off and pollution.

Under the MS4 permit, the town is required to promote and enforce stormwater management in the area shown on the map. In addition to the MS4 area, the town encourages town residents to practice stormwater management through-out the town as there are numerous lakes and streams in the town.

For more information on how you can assist with stormwater management, please access the Rain to Rivers website at www.raintorivers.org or through the link on the town’s website at https://townofeaglepointchippewa.com.
